Last Monday was her first day and she said how excited she was until we actually got there. Then I could see it all coming...'mommy, will you stay with me?' She fights back the tears and just gets so sad. She did go into the class and Collin and I were watching through the window so she could see us. She was so scared or maybe sad, so she just stood there...wouldn't sit and stretch, wouldn't do little leaps across the floor, etc. When the teacher held her hand and helped her do little leaps across the floor, she just started crying the closer she got to us watching out the window. And that was when she got escorted out! Boy, she was happy to be outta there, but I felt sad for her. So Mackenzie stood at the window with Collin and me and continued to watch the rest of the little ballerinas dance around.
All week long we've talked about being a big girl at dance and having fun, but as soon as we showed up today she got her sad face on and wanted me to stay in the class with her (not permitted). It actually seemed worse at first. She was in tears before it even started, thus making Collin start crying uncontrollably. Everyone was wondering what was going on or maybe just felt sorry for my kids. Thankfully, the class was starting right then and the teacher came and picked her up in her arms and got her to stop crying immediately. For the next 45 minutes she danced her heart out and had a huge smile on. She LOVED it! I couldn't have been more proud (it's the simple thing right?). She was the last one out of the class and the teacher couldn't get her to quit dancing. She was excited about being such a good girl in dance, but I think I was much more excited! :) Yay Mackenzie!

What a cutie! I signed Brynlee up for a dance class starting in September. I don't know who is more excited me or her!
She looks so cute! I'm glad she finally got brave and danced! I'll be signing Clemie up for Dance AND Preschool as soon as I can. I think she will love it and I will love it more!
