Boyfriends

Mackenzie is not quite 3 years old yet, but for at least the past 6 months she has been very, very vocal about who her boyfriends are. How does she even know about boyfriends? Anyways, she dances around the house, gets all giggly, makes wacky faces, just goes absolutely crazy if you even mention their names or she sees them in a picture. The great thing is that she is quite safe with these boyfriends. Who are they? The missionaries (the ones serving in our ward) and her 14 year old cousin, Dallin.

She is so crazy about them that when we go to church we have to make sure she gets to shake their hand and give them five. She always wants them over for dinner and she loves talking to them. Her cousin Dallin lives in Minnesota, so she loves pretend talking on the phone to him and because she does it so much now Collin always picks up the phone and says, "Hello, Dallin.".

If you ask her how many boyfriends she has, she will hold up two fingers and say, "Two, Dallin and the missionaries." Close...she's so cute about it.

Well sadly one of her boyfriends got transferred back to Denver, so they came to tell us bye. She didn't know quite what to do with herself to take a picture with them. She was kind of nervous. The funny thing is that we didn't know they were coming that night and I was giving the kids a bath when Mackenzie got out and I told her to run in her room and get her pj's on. Without me realizing it, she ran in the kitchen to see Tyson who had just got home. Just then the door bell rang and I went and welcomed the Elders to come in. Guess who goes streaking by? Yep, Mackenzie! She didn't do it in any fast manner either. I could've died. Poor Elders!

Also a few weeks ago she was able to see her long distance boyfriend, Dallin, when they came out to visit. She was so excited and we are sure glad that Dallin is a great sport about her wackiness these days. He is not to be forgotten anytime soon even though he is back in Minnesota. Every night in her prayers she asks Heavenly Father to bless Dallin (the missionaries too) and she even prays for Dallin when she says the prayer in the nursery at church. What a silly little girl!

How cute!! Its just the beginning for you. I'm scared to have a girl. The good thing for me is that Kamryn has 4 older brothers.

Steph,
What a cute story! Sorry it has been so long since I've visited your blog. The summer has been crazy! I don't think I knew Tyson was a twin until I read about his mothers temple marriage. That is way cool. Happy late anniversary! 10 years. wow! I hope everything is going good.
