Play Time!

The one thing I wanted in a house was a play room!!!  It was a must!  It's hard to believe it was 3 years ago that we moved in.  And it didn't have a play room, but it had an exercise room that I knew I could transform into one awesome play room.  It was in the perfect location and size!  And I hate exercising, so getting rid of an exercise room was a grand idea for me!  So last fall, I finally finished it...and now I finally get around to posting some pics.

BEFORE:
Awful yellow paint and maroon/brown hotel carpet...and lots of mirrors.  And toys sitting around everywhere.

AFTER:
I love this room now.  I did try some fun turquoise paint at first, but it never set right with me.  So I went neutral paint with lots of pops of color.  Added in some very cushy blue-ish gray carpet and some shelving and colorful bins.  The mirrors are still there, but they have been kind of fun.  This room is absolutely perfect, I love the look and its super functional for the kids.  And I love that the toys stay pretty much in here instead of strung all over the house.

I found some clothespins from American Girl that were all different and fun colors, and glued them onto two 8' white boards to display Mackenzie and Collin's art.  They turned out awesome!

One of Mackenzie's pictures that is pretty cute.  It is a presidential debate between Mitt Romney and President Obama last fall.

This one I LOVEEEEEE!  It makes me laugh and smile so much!
