We went over to Moab and Arches National Park the other day. It was such a beautiful day, not too hot, not too cold, and no wind! It was a great time other than having to pack the kids on many hikes because we wore them out. Collin was quite difficult at times, refusing to walk, refusing to be packed, refusing to be good...you get the idea! We even ended up packing Mackenzie quite a bit because she REFUSED to walk after a while. She was so tired. It was quite hard at times, but really worth it. We really did enjoy it. We also noticed that we were the only one in the entire park with two toddlers!

Broken Arch
On our way to Sand Dune Arch
Off the beaten path
Delicate Arch
We would have loved to be on the other side of the canyon under the arch, but it was a 4 mile round trip hike...no way said Collin and Mackenzie. So instead we took the 1 mile round trip hike to look across the canyon at it...
and to stop and smell the flowers...
and to throw some rocks...

and to play with more rocks...

and of course to take some family pics.

Turret Arch at the Windows

Double Arch
We wanted to take this short hike over there, but after 6 hours in the park, the kids had had it and both of our arms were soooo sore from packing them.

Wow, I love the pictures. How fun is it to explore such a peculiar place without having to leave the state? Thanks for sharing your experience!
That is beautiful!! So should I wait to take Preston and Dorothy till they are a little older? Your pictures turned out beautiful!! Great photography!
I LOVE the Arches and we are going there tomorrow for the first time this season! YEA!!! I'm so excited. I love seeing the Parade of the Elephants and Delicate Arch. We are going to do Tower Arch this time, in all the times we have went there we have never been on this hike. My favortie hike by far and away though is the hike to double O arch. Beautiful! Anyhow you have gotten me sooo excited to go! Oh and by the way we are going to Colorado again. We will be in Island Acres tue. through Thur. so feel free to come and visit again. It was sooo fun!
And by the way I agree, your photography is great!
Beautiful pictures!! Sounds like a great trip. You guys are brave taking two little ones. Your kids are so cute! I don't recognize either of them- they change so fast. Thanks for the comment on my blog. It was really great to hear from you and it made me search for your blog. I loved seeing what you guys are up to. Grand Junction sounds nice, BTW. It seems like a lot of Nova people are going there. We still have one more year here in Philly and then on to Cali. We're so excited!
